Definition of Fibonacci Confluence Zones
A Fibonacci Confluence Zone is an area on the chart where multiple Fibonacci levels overlap. These levels can come from different Fibonacci retracements or extensions drawn from various swing points. When they converge, the zone acts as a strong support/resistance, often attracting significant price action.
How to Identify
To identify a confluence zone:
Example: EUR/USD H4 chart, draw Fibonacci retracement from low 1.1000 to high 1.1200 (61.8% at 1.1076), and Fibonacci extension from corrective wave 1.1080-1.1150 (161.8% at 1.1070). Both levels around 1.1070-1.1076 create a strong confluence zone.
How to Trade
Enter when price touches the confluence zone and a candlestick pattern confirms the direction of the overall trend.
Example: Buy trade
Real example: USD/JPY H1, uptrend. After a pullback, price touches 110.20-110.30 (confluence of 50% retracement and 161.8% extension). A Bullish Engulfing candle appears.
